Sign-in options, two-step sign-in and trusted devices

Sign in with a password, passkey, Google, Microsoft or an emailed link, and keep your account safe with a second step.

Ways to sign in

  • Email and password.
  • Passkey: sign in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN. It is the fastest and safest option.
  • Google or Microsoft: use your work account.
  • Sign-in link: we email you a link that signs you in. Each link works once and expires after a short time.

Two-step sign-in

Two-step sign-in asks for a second proof after your password, so a stolen password alone is not enough. You set it up when you create your account, with either:

  • a passkey, or
  • an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Microsoft Authenticator, which shows a new 6-digit code every 30 seconds.

Save your recovery codes

When you set up two-step sign-in, you get a set of recovery codes. Keep them somewhere safe, such as a password manager. If you lose your phone or passkey, a recovery code gets you in. Each code works once.

If you have lost both, ask an admin of your workspace to reset your two-step sign-in.

Trust this device

When you sign in on your own computer or phone, you can tick Trust this device. That device then skips the second step for a number of days. Don't use it on shared or public computers.

Keep me signed in keeps you signed in on that browser after you close it.

More than one workspace

If you belong to several workspaces, the workspace picker lists them after you sign in. Choose one; you can switch at any time.
